Hello! My name is Paul Barbary. I'm a retired high school English teacher living in Croydon, Inner Western Sydney.
My career as a high school English teacher started in 1974 after graduating with distinction in English. This year (2024) I will be turning seventy-two.
I retired from large classrooms in 2012 and since then I have been tutoring students privately with Zoom or Google Meet.
I provide tuition for students in Year 12 HSC Advanced, Standard, EAL/D or Extension English but I also tutor Years 7 to 11.
Students usually prefer a one-on-one lesson for one hour per week.
I mark and return work in between lessons and provide unlimited email correspondence on assignments, assessment tasks and course content.
Private ZOOM or GOOGLE MEET tutoring is $50/week but paying for the term in advance brings the cost down. There is also an introductory offer of 10 weeks for $45/week.
Unsatisfied students or parents will be immediately refunded.
Tutoring boosts confidence and improves performance in assessments.
